Printer print test page after each printing

My deskjet 1220c now prints a test page after each print job.

Used this printer a long time ago and it did not print the extra page.

I did not used this printer for a long time and now that I use it again it
prints the extra page.

Any suggestions?

Automation at its finest - complete the "alignment"
or be prepared to waste a page each time. How
convenient.
