Shared folders

XP Home
Have 2 folders listed on my PC (Explorer) that are folders on my laptop.
Have 3 folders on my laptop that are listed as shared with my PC.
Problem 1 - none of the folders are duplicates
Problem 2 - the "share this folder' button on the laptop is not
checked for the folders listed as shared.
Problem 3 - I can find no way on the PC to UNshare these folders.
What are my steps to break these connections?

Please tell us the Share Names. If you are talking about:

1. SharedDocs
2. Printers and Faxes
3. Scheduled Tasks

They are the default shares under Windows XP. You can not unshare them
except SharedDocs. Located under My Computer. But it is not recommended that
you unshare this Default Share as it is very much useful. Just drag your
files inside it and see them on other PC. You don't need to share each and
every folder.

If you want to know more about all the shares including hidden shares then
right-click on My Computer and choose Manage. Expand to Shared Folders and
then Shares. Here you can see a list of Shares with their full Shared Path.

Hope this is what you are looking for, let us know!
