Shared folders and PC not visible on network

2 PC's - XP and W98 - are networked. The XP system doesn't list the W98
under My Network Places. It does list some of the W98 shared folders, but
not all. The W98 system lists both systems and all shared folders
correctly. How can I make the W98 fully visible to the XP?

1. Make sure all computers are in the same workgroup (you said they
were)
2. Make sure all computers have unique machine names
3. Make sure user accounts and passwords are created on the XP box
identical to those on the Win98 box.
4. Make sure that any firewalls on either box allow lan traffic.
