shared drives

my server has multiple shared drives that all users can access. i had to
restart the server this morning and run a chkdsk fix for some corrupts files.
once it came back up, the users can no longer acess these drives. i checked
the permisions, i've unshared the drive and the set it to share again. i can
ping the server form the user. i'm nit sure what to do next. if you have
any suggestions that would be great. thanks
 
assuming you can ping the server, can you net view \\server? or post the system error here.
