Hoping someone can help!
I've a Compaq Tablet PC & a Vaio (both Centrino & XP
Pro), and have set up a wireless connection between
them. However, although connected they can't see each
others shared folders (all set up correctly - I think!).
Also, the Vaio is connected to an ADSL modem (USB) - can
I use ICS on USB for the Tablet? All the info so far
talks about Ethernet.

Many Thanks

Yes, you can share the ADSL modem (USB).

Run the Network Setup Wizard on the Vaio and tell it to share that
connection. If it tries to create a network bridge, don't let it --
tell it to use only the wireless connection for the home network. Run
the Network Setup Wizard on the tablet and tell it that the computer
connects to the Internet through another computer on the network.

Those steps should enable ICS and get file sharing working properly,
too.

Thanks - tried that, but the tablet still won't connect
to the net through ICS, nor see the Vaio. It keeps
trying to dial up.

Both are set up in the 'MShome' workgroup, yet when I
view this the computers can only see themselves (i.e. the
Vaio can see it's own shared folders, but not those on
the tablet). I can't work out what's going on!
