Internet Connection Sharing

I have successfully networked my Laptop and Desktop together using a
crossover ethernet cable, and have allocated the laptop the Ip of
192.168.0.1
and desktop is 0.2.
I have a USB ADSL Modem supplied by demon (Speedtouch 330) and have a
static
Ip. but I cannot connect to the internet from the desktop pc.

I can view and share files on the network but not internet connection, I
have enabled ICS, but still no Joy,

could someone help on this please

Are you James? Splitting your problem report among several threads, and posting
like this, is confusing to those who want to help you.

Check 2 things:
# Is the ICS service started?

# Does the desktop computer have DNS server settings that the laptop has?
Compare "ipconfig /all" from both computers, and adjust if necessary.

If no help, provide "ipconfig /all" from each computer. Read this article, and
