Internet Connection Sharing

Hi

I have an adsl modem router providing an internet connection for 4 connected
computers (Wired).

One of my desktops now has a wireless card installed, and I am trying to set
it up so my wireless laptop will connect to the internet via my wireless
desktop (which is wired to the router. The router has an IP of 192.168.0.1,
so the problem arises when the ICS wizards try to set ther IP of my desktop
to 192.168.0.1 - does anyone know of any way I can shared the internet
connection with my laptop via my dekstop?

[INTERNET] --ADSL-- [MODEM ROUTER] -- WIRED ETHERNET --- [DESKTOP] ---
WIRELESS ETHERNET -- [LAPTOP]

If you load your browser or possibly the config prog on the CD for your
modem, you can change the IP address of the modem to something else. That
will solve the problem.

Depending on what your modem is, you can either load the browser and enter
the URL 192.168.0.1 or otherwise some modems are able to be changed by
inserting the CD and running the setup which is just used to change details
in the modem.

I am not sure if bridging the wi-fi and wired (if set to different IPs and
netmasks) would work but it is worth a try if the above doesn't work.
