my windows xp doesn't want to show the explorer and show me black screen
when i start him
i wonder if i can do sfc /scannow from the recovery console or from dos
because i tried to do repair with the win xp disc that i pressed r for repair
and i tried fixboot and fixmbr and it doesnt fix it
i have install in another partition win xp and it work good ?

You can do that, but there is also another repair function. Don't push R to
go to recovery console. Just go as you are installing XP, and it will search
for previous installs. If it finds it (it usually does), it will allow you
to repair it. It looks like it is doing a normal install, but it saves all
your settings, files, and programs.
