setup fault

Trying to load MS Home Publishing 99 and receive the following message.

"Setup caused a general protection fault in module LZEXPAND.DLL at
0002:0236."


The program will not load.

Tried a game, same message


Never struck this before and have been using this program for years.

Pentium 4, 2.4. 512 megs of ram 2X180 gig H/D

What suggestion to fix this problem please.

Home Publishing 99 is no longer supported (support ceased in 2002). Open the
Help and Support Center and see: Getting older programs to run on Windows
XP.

Sorry, can't provide advice for "a game."
