Blue screen error

System: P4 2.4 gig 533fsb, intel board D845EBG2, 1gig 266Mhx ram, Soundblaster Audigy Gamer, Gf4 ti4600 128mg, cd rw, WD 40 hd, Logitech usb optical mouse, Viewsonic P95f monitor
Just loaded Winxp home on reformatted hd, loaded mb drivers, updated winxp, loaded & upgraded soundcard drivers, upgraded video drivers, defrag'd, loaded McAfee 7.0 & upgraded & scanned, loaded Zonealarm, loaded APC backup software, loaded palm software, loaded Office xp, defrag'd, loaded game (unreal 2k4), defrag'd again. Began getting general protection faults in game and system began spontaneously rebooting. Uninstalled game. Ran scandisk---ok. Still rebooting. Uninstalled zonealarm. Still rebooting. Unchecked auto-reboot. When crashed again, I got the following blue screen: Stop: 0x0000008E (0xc0000005, oxf78d3b8c, 0xef4cb38, 0x00000000) CLASSPNP.SYS-address f78d3b8c base at f78d3000, Date stamp 3d6de49a

What does this mean and how do I fix it? I tried system restore to a time before this happened to no avail. As I'm typing this, my screen goes to black for a few seconds then comes back on. This occasionally happens in other programs as well. Most of the time there is no error logged in the event viewer.

This error code can be used for different failures , but most often it
refers to bad or poor performing system ram. Swap out or replace the ram
modules. Jym

Is there a program I can download that tests the ram module or I could test the ram slot to see if it's a mb problem
