Setup Fails

Paul

My computer is as follows.
AOPEN AX4GE-max motherboard
Intel 845GE chipset, ultra DMA 133 & SATA
Intel 2.4 ghz CPU
512mb DDR333
Maxtor 120gb hard drive
Windows 98se

When the Windows XP setup process reboots, I receive the
following msg.
0x0000007B (0xF899063C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Tried updating my BIOS, the Intel chip set support
information files, and the Promise SATA driver, still
received the same msg.

Tried to hit F6 during setup to supply the Promise SATA
driver. Received the following message.

"\xnxp\ulsata.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line
2108 in d:\xpspl\base\boot\setup\oemdisc.c. Press any key
to continue." Once you hit enter it stated "the the setup
was unable to load support for the mass storage device you
specified."

Please help a person that really wants to upgrade,
Paul

I determined the SATA loading error was due to the way I
saved the driver on the floppy drive. I corrected the
folder structure and was successfully able to load the
SATA driver. Unfortunately I received the same stop
0x0000007B error.
