Hi,
I am having problems installing winxp HE, i used windows
98 but i was going to reformat my computer, which i did
do. Then i went to try and install windows XP, it gets to
a certain point and it said "Setup did not find any hard
disk drives installed on your computer" i didnt really
understand what that mean by the way. So i decide to
install windows 98 and try upgrading to windows XP, but
the same problem, one other thing winxp said "setup was
unable to load support for the mass storage device you
specified" any help wouild be appreciated.

Before running Windows XP Setup, run the Windows XP Compatibility Check.
Not all Windows 98 systems are good candidates for an upgrade, and if there
is a compatibility problem, it's best to find out about it before you run
Setup.

Does your motherboard have Raid/UDMA/SATA controllers? If
so you will have to go to the manufacturers website and
download the appropriate drivers for XP. Once you have
obtained these, repost and someone here will give you a
hand installing them.
