setting up windows mail

I have tried to set up a new account for mail but it defaults to hotmail then
tels me i cannot use http mail account. any ideas what i am doing wrong

it will only use POP mail

When you are setting up the mail account
(Tools, Accounts, Add...), what are you putting in the fields for
incoming mail server and outgoing mail server?

Also, what do you put in the email address box? ie the second box, first
being display name.

Good catch, Rob! If the OP was filling in any @hotmail. com or
@msn.com email address, the Add Account wizard balks and
refuses to go on.

Mike, you have to put in your ISP-assigned email address.
Looks like for you that would be [something]@ntli.net.
