Setting up laptops on the network

Hello all.

I need to set up laptops onto the network. I want to use offline files and
eliminate My Docs all together and have a My Docs on the network drives for
them so in case a pc crashes and what not I have the info.

How do I go about doing this? The laptops will be wireless and the people
using them will be mobile, so I want their laptops to sunch when they hit the
network.

Any info is greatly appreciated. I am not as network savvy as I would like
to be and couldnt figure out how to get the roaming profile deal to work.

You can accomplish this by utilizing Group Policy, provided you have a domain
based network. Group Policy has a "Redirect" entry where you can redirect
the user's My Documents folder to a network share. I think this would do the
trick for you.

Server Online Help describes it pretty well. Open it up and do a search for
"redirect" and you'll find exactly how to do it.
