Setting-up default view for IE

G

Guest

I configured IE by clicking IE > View >Toolbars and checking Standard Buttons
and Address Bar. Then I checked Lock Toolbars and clicked on File > Save As
and Save in C:\Documents and Settings\kenneth Cavanaugh\Applications
Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer before pressing Save.

What happened supriesed me. A file called The Day, New London, CT -
theday_com.htm was created and a folder by the same name. Inside the folder
was a file topads.htm and a folder named topads_files. Inside it were three
css files and two axd.

Is there a better place to save default configuration file? I have placed it
in the same folder as Bookmark.htm.

You might ask this question in a newsgroup for IE.
What version of IE are you using?
I am unaware of any version of IE which has what you call a "default
configuration file", but I don't have IE7 installed.

IE6/OE6 newsgroups.

IE7/OE General newsgroups:
