Setting up a network with Login access

I am trying to setup a network like they have in my school for my church,
were you have to login in the workstation and it lets you in this login will
also work in other workstations to access the current network kinda like
Novell does but in my school I saw they use windows XP if I don't make sense
please tell me I m sorry for the bad grammer

I think you are talking about a domain. Among other things a domain
environment allows for central management of users and groups. As a result
of this, you can create a domain user account on the server and that user
can be enabled to log onto some or all machines joined to the domain.
However, in order to create a Windows domain you need a Windows Server OS -
eg. Windows Server 2003. Also, XP Home Edition machines cannot join a
domain.

Even without a domain, you can create multiple user accounts on a single
machine, and those accounts can duplicate the user names and passwords used
on other machines.
