Can someone tell me how I can configure the size of a
window opened using the "open in new window" mouse
option? Everytime I use this command, I have to resize
the second window because it opens as only the activity
bar. Is there a way to determine the size of the window
opened in this manner?

Once upon a time, you could set the size of a second
window by closing the window while holding the Control
button. I have since found that this method no longer
works.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window is the desired size.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.
