Setting Rules for a Group Mailbox

K

I have several users who will have access to a group mailbox. I am wondering
if I can set a rule to move incoming emails to different folders.

For example - Any email with 488 or 340 in the subject line would go to the
Jenny folder.

Any help would be appreciated!!

If it's an actual mailbox, simply connect directly to the mailbox and create
the rule. Any rule that isn't client only will run without Outlook connected.

I have been able to set rules for the mailbox, but it does not run
automatically. I have to manually run the rule each time I was to move
emails to the correct folder.

Do you know if it is possible to run without doing it automatically?

It should do it automatically unless, as I stated above, it is client only.

What does the rule do exactly?

I took a look, and the rule is client only. Unfortunately I think I am only
able to make client only rules.

The rule is that if an email comes in with 007 in the subject line it is to
go to the Bob folder.

Is this connecting to an Exchange server?
What version of Outlook?
Is the Bob folder in the mailbox?

Yes, it is connecting to an Exchane server.

It is Outlook 2003.

Yes, the Bob folder is within the mailbox.

Does the rule name say '(client only)'?
