Setting a rule in a functional mail box

Cassie

I'm using outlook 2007. I have my own mail box and a shared functional mail
box on which I want to set a rule. If mails are received to the functional
mail box address an auto reply is sent to the sender. I've created a
template reply and setup the rule if it contains a specific phrase to send
the template reply. But it doesn't work, from the functional mail box, it
works from my own mail box.

Can anyone help
Thanks very much
Cassie

does your rule include the condition that the mail is "sent to" the address
of the mail box in question?

No I don't think so
the first condition (Which condition do you want to check?)is:
with specific words in the subject [ive typed in the phase]

the second condition (what do you want to do with the message?) is:
have servier reply useing a specific message [ive created a template]

the third condition (are ther any excpetions?) is
except if its an out of office message

Hope this helps you give me a solution (ever hopeful)
many thanks
Cassie

Two questions (assuming 'functional mail box' means a completely separate
Exchange mailbox):

1) Did you create the rule while connected to your mailbox or to the other
mailbox?
2) Is the rule labeled 'Client Only'?
