Set as default printer

How to remove the option/button "Set as default printer" in the Printers and
Faxes folder?. Reason is, that users have color printers set as default
printer. Users should not be allowed to set a color printer as default
printer due to higher print costs.

Check your printer owner manual or contact support from the manufacturer.
Many printers like some HP models have built-in security access locks. Yours
may already have them. The below may be of help.

I forgot to ask if all users have their own color printers?
If they use a single networked color printer you can stop
the sharing of the printer and only the Administrator can
give access and use it.
