Session Freeze/Locks

I have users whose sessions freeze/lock connecting to a
W2K (sp4) terminal server. Server has Office XP, Acrobat,
and a couple third party apps installed. Sessions freeze
sometimes when only Outlook is open. Problem goes away
once user logs off, then back on. Any ideas?
 
If the sessions are freezing, the how are people logging
off of the session? Are they logging out of their client?

After 10-15 minutes, users will log off their sessions
(sometimes, I log them off via terminal services manager).
User then open a new session. Problem again appears
randomly, with different programs open, sometimes Outlook,
sometimes Outlook and Word open.
