Service terminating and restarting

Guest

Hello, and thanks for your assistance in advance. I have several services on
a Windows 2000 SP4 box terminating, although restarting after they are killed
as they are setup to do so. This occurs about every 20 mins with the
following services: most microsoft exchange services, SMTP service WWW
publishing service, and the IIS admin service. An example of what is in Event
viewer for the smtp service(as they repeat every 20 mins):

The SMTP service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 3 times. The
following corrective action will be taken in 60000 milliseconds: Restart the
service.

Any ideas appreciated.
thanks.
IIS stop command recieved from user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. The logged data is
the status code.

Try asking them here. When you view the logged events in Event Viewer
(double-click them in the right-hand pane) in the upper right corner, third
button down is a copy to clipboard, then you can paste in the body of a
reply message.
