service pack 2 error 8007F023

tried to install sp2, unfortuneatly had a umax scanner attached at the time,
panicked did a system restore.

But now after removing the umax scanner & trying to install sp2 i get the
followin error 8007F023
 
This is what it means, don't know how to fix it but it should give you a start


0x8007f023 STATUS_CANT_FIND_TAG

Translation: Setup could not locate the files.
