Service pack 2 data exception error

When ever I download Service pack 2 & install it of course I have to reboot
my pc. But the problem is when I reboot & it logs into my profile I get a
data exception error saying windows will not allow windows explorer to open.
Even if I do ctrl+alt+del & go to run explorer.exe it gives me a data
exception error on task manager. So i always endup having to do a repair of
my operating system. What could be causing this data exception error & how
could i possibly fix it?
