Server reboots constantly (winsrv.dll prob)

I have a Win2K server(SP4) that I applied the MS updates
to and after rebooting, the system continuously reboots
after trying to load the OS. It shows a really fast
error, the best I can tell, it says something about
winsrv.dll missing or corrupt. Anyone else ever have this
problem and how do I fix it.

did you try rebooting in another mode ie safe mode or last known good
configuation and see if it starts up then. When windows is first loading
you hit F8 and that should allow you to boot up using the other modes.

Yes, I tried all the reboot modes, including "last known
good". I have just finished a parallel installation, but
I have not found the problem. I did see that I had a Blue
screen stop message (C0000135) at startup. This refers to
the winsrv.dll and File_name.dll. I found a KB article
for NT, but have found nothing for Win2K.

I haven't had any issues with SP4 on any Domain Controllers or clients.
Probably some conflict specific to your system.
