Server error: Web already exists ?

My web upload use to work in Frontpage 2002 now getting an error that it can
not connect. Does something need to be cleared out. My domain doesn't
appear to be set in Frontpage to upload to but getting the following errors?

A web does not exist at http://mydomain.com. Would you like Frontpage
tocreate a web at that location?

I click OK, enter login and password. Then get....

Server error: Web already exists: "/directory".

Thanks Jim, I will give it a try. Only step I don't get is the first one
though....

"Open the remote Web site in FrontPage."

How do you do that? I have only opened up my site locally and then
published.
