server closed the connection

I am using Frontpage 2002 on Windows xp. My Web is hosted on SBC DSL Webb
hosting service....
I am trying to add a 10 megabite .pdf file onto my website, and when I try
to publish it, I get the following error message... "The server unexpectedly
closed the connection."

I have read several other threads concerning this. One suggestion is to
contact the host and increase the time out settings. How do I do that?
Thanks so much.

Many host do not have the FP SE or server configured to support larger than 1 MB uploads
1. It is likely the Server Admin changed the regkey to limit it to 1
meg: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;814332
2. And if they are running Win 2000 http://support.microsoft.com/?id=838018
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 caused an issue that was fixed with the above

If they can't or won't fix it and they support subwebs
Move the large media file(s) to a folder and convert the folder to a subweb
Then FTP the large file(s) to that folder (do not open the new subweb in FP )
