Serial cable IrDA protocol

Hi,i hope to get some help please.Microsoft has stopped
this hardware due to code error43 but hasn't offered any
alternative to enable this hardware again.I tried system
restore but the problem is still there.Don't know what to
do now.Thanks for any help.
 
what com port is the cable on??

You might have to go into the bios
and set the comport to IRDA, if it has
it, for it to work.
