Hi
I heve IRDA mounted to motherboard port, i use Windows XP Pro SP2.
And i have problem with actiwation/instalation this device on this system,
on Windows with SP! or older it works fine.
I heve proper files(irda.sys, irmon.dll etc.) in system
directiries(windows/system32/, windows/system32/drivers/).
I try method discribed in Microsoft KB article, trick with guest account.
Turning off all firewalls doesn't help.
I try also install as cable with irda protocol, and try to emulate it on
some of com port(my motherboard emulate irda device on com port) but without
effect.
If someone have a answer to my problem i will be gratefull if he share his
knowledge with me.
Greatings.[Sorry for my pour English]

Your English may need a little Polish but it's a million times better
than all my East European and Far Eastern altogether.

It's a pity I don't have a clue about computing either.

I have an IR device on a USB port of a desktop running Windows XP media
edition. I had a little problem getting it to install using the windows
install. But when I did it from the Installation disk for the device,
it installed and has been working with no problem.

I did the install from an administrator account
