Sent emails missing from the Sent Items folder

Just upgraded to Office 2007 Pro & using Exchange 2003 in the office.
Have two known cases where two different users reported a sent email is
missing from the Sent Items folder and is nowhere to be found in their
mailboxes including Deleted Items & Recovered Deleted Items. I confirmed the
option to save sent emails is checked and it's only happened in two different
incidents. No filters are being used and no auto archive. Any ideas?

Did you ever resolve this, I have a user with the same issue.

I have a user that had this same error with sent and forwarded emails for about an hour last Friday.

Checked the Sent/Draft Folders and the Outbook both Online and Offline.

Have either of you found a cause or resolution to preventing this from happening again?
