Sent emails are getting there

Some time today, emails stopped really being sent. They move from the outbox
to sent mail and I don't get any sort of error message, but they are not
arriving at the intended destination. This does not appear to be a problem
with my provider as messages that I send from my webmail page do arrive.

Any suggestions?

What happens when you send an email to yourself?
Which antivirus are you running?

Same thing. Shows in the outbox, moves to sent folder making it appear that
all is well, but I never receive anything in my in box. I can, however,
receive email from others.

At this particular moment, I don't have an anitvirus on the machine.

One other thing to try, in case the account is corrupted.
Remove (delete) that account), then create it again.

If that doesn't fix the problem, I don't have any further suggestions,
except to go through a process of elimination. Try:
a) a different SMTP server
b) a different email program
c) a different computer.

You could also try upgrading to Windows Live Mail:
