Can anyone help, after I have composed an email and try to send it nothing
happens. The only way I can get it to go is by closing the program and
restarting the program, te message will be in the Outbox and will now send.

Do you get an error message when you click on Send?
If not, then most likely your antivirus program is interfering.
Which antivirus is it? Some of them are not very compatible with
Windows Mail.

Also receiving a error message but email seems to go through but keep getting
this error messgae.

"The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] server. For help solving this
problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the
"I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining
the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'. Subject 'Re: Email

If there is an unsent message in your Outbox, you should delete it, or move
it to Drafts.

I also got the same error message for (e-mail address removed). Have you
contacted that recipient to find out if he's changed his email address?

I assume you don't see this error for other recipients because it looks
like just that one recipient is failing.

In Windows Mail, undeletable messages are often due to interference from
an antivirus program. What if any antivirus programs do you have on that
machine, and have you ever had a Norton or McAfee antivirus program on
that machine, even one of the free trial versions that often come already
installed on new computers?

For a temporary fix, download and install this hotfix, with Windows Mail
not running:

<http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039>

Although it's labelled as for messages stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether you have a 32-bit version of
Vista or a 64-bit version, try the hotfix for the 32-bit versions first.
The
Vista SP1 update includes this hotfix amd more, but takes longer to install.

That type of error is often caused by interference from a non-
compatible antivirus program. Which antivirus are you running?
As a minimum, email scanning in the antivirus must be turned off.

I am having a similar problem, I get the following message:

Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes
for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject 'Re: The Pitts Family', Account:
'pop-server.socal.rr.com', Server: 'smtp-server.socal.rr.com', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F

I have tried everything I can think of can anyone help me?

Does your connection to that server cross over from one internet
provider's equipment to another's before it reaches the server?
If you are using a wireless connection, your computer could have
decided to connect through a neighbor's wireless server today
instead of yours, with the connection therefore starting out
through your neighbor's internet provider's equipment. Connections
to port 25 with such a crossover are often blocked to cause problems
for spammers. In such a case, check if rr.com allows you to connect
to the server through some other port instead. Just trying all the ports
is a very slow way to find out, since about 65,000 ports are available
and it's unlikely that more than a few of them will accept outgoing mail.

Excuse me - I copied the wrong web site.

If that doesn't help, try disabling any email scanning in your Norton
program
and leaving it disabled if your version offers that option; this
occasionally helps.
However, it's more likely that you'll have to uninstall the Norton program
instead. Then you're likely to run the program I mentioned the website for
in the wrong place:

<http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039>

You may even need to remove your email account under Windows Mail,
then restart Windows Mail and add the account again.

If this solves your problem, you may want a replacement antivirus program
that doesn't cause such problems in Windows Mail. Norton, McAfee, and
Trend are bad choices, since they are the three antivirus programs that
cause
the most problems in Windows Mail. I recommend either avast! or AVG,
either one with a custom install where you tell it to leave out the parts
that
scan email.

http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

http://free.avg.com/ww.download?prd=afe

It's not recommended that you have more than one antivirus program
installed at a time. However, if you feel you need extra protection,
having one or more antispyware programs installed at the same time
as one antivirus program is not a problem. I use three:
