WM only sends/receives at Startup (fortunately)

As advised I have turned off Norton (pre-installed on new PC) email scanning
(in/out) and left off, removed my Email account, closed and reopened WM, and
then added my account back again. Still no joy. After a composed message is
in the Outbox, manual triggering of the Send/Recv does nothing as neither
does Send Messages Immediately. Does anyone know if Zone Alarm (on my old
machine) is gremlin-free with WM?

Turning Norton off is not sufficient. It must be uninstalled.
After that is done, you may need to clear a stuck message out of
the outbox:

I would not take a chance as to whether Zone Alarm is fully
compatible with Windows Mail. The Windows Firewall in Vista
does a pretty decent job.
