Outlook 2007 will not SEND email

Installed Office 2007 about a month ago and spent time on Word & Excel.
Today started with Outlook which seemed to install OK. However after
configuring email to connect to a premium hotmail account I found that while
Outlook could collect all my email it would not send any messages. The new
message windows does not have a send button and send\receive from Tools does
not send messages sitting in the outbox.
I am just using the one profile - Outlook.

Fortunately Outlook Express sends mail messages OK.

What to do, other than remove Outlook?

Hi Chuck

yes they appeared OK. If have resolved the problem by writing a new profile
in my name and setting up the account at the time of the profile creation.

before I opened with the outlook profile and set up the account afterwards.

Hope this helps others who get this problem

1) The messages were the "sorry Outlook has to close......" kind
2) Yes I did tell Outlook to authenticate the server.

I have found that Outlook 2007 will not send if both an MSN account and a
Hotmail Account are enabled on the same profile. Individually they are OK.
In Outllook 2003 I could have both on together.
