Sending Powerpoint attachments

Since installing SP2, I've had some problems sending emails from Outlook 2003
when there is a Powerpoint attachment. My recipients receive the email
multiple times even though I only send it once

Is this a known problem, and if so how can I fix it

Sounds like a server timeout value set too low. Increase your server
timeout on the Advanced tab of your account properties pages. Click
Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next. Select your account. Click Change>More
Settings>Advanced.
