Sending MM2 movie back to Handycam

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV460. I have successfully transferred video
from my camera to my PC via the USB cable. After successfully editing the
video clips I attempt to save the finished movie back to Handycam. However,
I get an error message that I do not have a connection to camera. The USB
cable is connected and I have video streaming on, in my Handycam. Why won't
the USB connection work when trying to save to tape?--

Tom,

I have a TRV-460 and I haven't tried sending back to the camera, but as
PapaJohn said, you need to use firewire. You should also use firewire to
capture. The quality is much higher than with USB. Capture as a DV-AVI and
you will basically lossless quality. If you don't have a port you can get a
card and cable for about $30. Totally worth it but it will take a lot of hard
drive space.
