Sending from additional mailboxes

I have a user who has an additional mailbox open in Outlook 2003. When she
uses the "from" field to send from that mailbox, it intermitantly leaves the
message in the outbox, although it sends the email anyway. As the user does
not know that the email has been sent, she will go into the outbox, click on
the message and send it again and it goes. This is annoying for both the
user and recipient. Any ideas what could be causing this.

Can you expand on what you mean by using the "Hack" please?

All mailboxes are stored in exchange and the user has added the additional
mailbox to her folder view using the add mailbox settings in the mail
properties from the control panel.

Usually when items aren't moved its because the connection to the sent
folder is down.
