Sending files directly by Mail doesn't work.

The File Send E-Mail option is displayed in grey in the Office Button in
Word, but does not work.
But the same function is present and functional from the Office Button in
PowerPoint.
I use Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, Windows Mail and the MS-Office
Home & Student 2007 suite. Why would it work in PowerPoint and not
in Word?

Hi L.A.C.,

Slightly different implementations in Word and Powerpoint for Windows Vista Mail.

See if the steps in this article reactivate the choice in Word after restarting the computer.

Thank you Bob.
There is only one string present in my computer registry. The value is
correct. Should I add the other missing strings with their values? What
puzzles me is that PowerPoint has the command but not Word nor Excel.

Hi LAC,

Yes, adding the other strings may help after restarting the PC some folks have been able to use the Send as Mail Attachment after
that, some have not. As for Powerpoint's implementation, as with other things in Office 2007, each app seems to have its own set of
separate implementing of features, some of which has to do with with differences in the underlying coding. In Office 2007 separating
Outlook from Word for editing email may have had some residual effects. :)
