Sending fax using Windows 2000

I have recently had Windows 200 installed and cannot send
a fax. I have 2 modems connected - 1 for incoming calls
and 1 for outgoing calls. The fax is looking at the modem
for incoming calls and I don't have any other option
available in the Fax Management Devices section.

Your post is inadequate for us to offer any help. Please give more details.
You have two modems - one configured for send and the other for receive. Are
you saying 'receiving is working fine but you are not able to send faxes?'.
Also confirm that you are talking about Windows 2000 Fax Service and not
about a 3rd party fax provider. Make sure that you have the latest modem
driver files for both your modems.

Thanks for your help. Yes I am using Windows 2000 fax service. Both modems are working for other applications as they should. The one sending is dialing out to receive pathology downloads and the one receiving is accepting my call via PC Anywhere. I think the problem is that the fax service is looking at the wrong modem and I don't know how to tell it to look at the other one

Help me understand what you said. What do you mean by "The one sending is
dialing out to receive pathology downloads"? What do you mean by "the one
receiving is accepting my call via PC Anywhere" - is 'PC Anywhere' some
software?

As I learned from some other post, to have both fax modems work you would
need to configure both of them for send & receive. Also the things look fine
when modems are of different manufacturer.
