Sending and receiving email

I get the following error message.

Task 'b.lockyer - Sending and Receiving' reported error (0x80004005) : 'The
operation failed.'

I have disabled Norton anti-virus
I have disabled Zonealarm
Outlook Express works
I have deleted two mail accounts
I have imported the mail accounts from Outlook Express
The settings on my laptop work OK

Any suggestions welcome.

and Office XP Pro, standalone.

Turned out to be Zonealarm, I had just installed Service Pack 3 and ZA did
not see the update.
