reported error (0x8004210A):

limeybiker

I have just installed Office 2003, over Office XP Pro.

Outlook reports this error on all email accounts, I have tried deleting the
accounts and re-installing them to no avail.

I have Google searched, for answers but, none give a clear answer.

Task 'smtp server name - Receiving' reported error (0x8004210A): 'The
operation timed out waiting for a response from the receiving (POP) server.
If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator
or Internet service provide (ISP).'

I think it's likely a corrupt profile and creating a new one will solve
your problem

I tried creating a new profile, it still does not correct the error.

Outlook Express works fine.

Yes I tried every one.

I un-installed Outlook 2003, re-installed, still the same error message, I
have deleted and created three different profiles, all with the same result.

Outlook Express continues to work thank goodness, but all my calendar and
contacts are in Outlook.

I have now discovered another problem.

When I go to accounts and send a test message.

Outlook 2003 crashes and requests I send an error report.

Establish a network connection checks
Find outgoing mail server SMTP checks
Find incoming mail server POP 3 fails
Log on fails
Send test email message Fails

At this point you might want to enable diagnostic logging of your e-mail
account(s), then start a new thread and post the log so that someone with
more knowledge of how these things work can tell you what's going on. The
following article tells you how to turn logging on and how to find the log
file: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;300479
