sending a fax

When I attempt to fax a document or picture from my computer, I do into fax console and click "send a fax" but all it does is send the cover page and has no option for sending anything else. What am I missing besides brain cells?

Nothing.

The option "Send a Fax..." in Fax console is for sending a cover page only
fax. In order to fax a picture or document, create or open it in a
Windows-based application, and print it to a fax printer. For e.g. if you
want to fax a word document, then open the document in Word, select the
print option and choose the Fax device as the printer.

You can also send as many attachments as you wish if you fax from Outlook.

What you need to be doing is activating the fax option
from within your document you want to send. For
instance, it's a word doc. Go to the print option and
select the fax as your printer. This will open the
wizard and you send it from there.
