Send to tape error

ok, I am trying to send final project to tape
The assistance I need is, to correctly send to tape(when sending to tape all
that is recorded is a blue screen)
I don't know about if I need drivers, thanks
I have xp service pack 2
SIIG firewire express card (with up to date drivers)
- what I think is the problem, is that I might need to download a driver to
correctly send video out or something-

please help

WHat cam is it?
Is it capable of taking dv in?
Have you set it to take dv in, as some need to be done in the menu.
