When ever i start my computer i get a message saying something about a
critical integration error. It goes on and then asks me to send an error
report, and has 2 options to send or cance. Who does this report go to and
will it stop whatever is wrong with my computer if I send. When things like
this go wrong it worries me, is it advisable to not go on my banking and
pesonal stuff until this problem is solved. Appologies if thats a stupid
question but scared of someone accessing my details.

Hi

Could you please post the exact message that you see when you start your
computer? The report goes to Microsoft.

HI Emma,
Try to open the Event Viewer and look for error there, to access the event
Viewer do the following:
Open a run command and type in:
eventvwr.msc clcik [OK] on the event Viewer Look for error Messages (X)
and double click them to get more Info about the causer and you can copy and
past in your next post.
Also make sure your machine is clean by scanning in Both safe mode and
Normal Mode for Malwares and Virues.
Run Disk CleanUp on your syste.
HTH.
Let us know.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I tried to do as you said and typed in eventvwr.msc.
It then said that MMC would not let me access it. This is the full message
that I get when I start up my computer:
Product Supporter
report error details

CRITICAL INTERGRATION ERROR OCCURED
a possible reason for this error is unauthorised memory sharing by the
applications installed on this system. Try rebooting the system to solve the
issue. The report you send will be anoymous and will help our quality
assurance department.

I have just lost the message and will have to turn back off again if you
require more. There isn't much more below it. I did try to Copy and paste
it but it wouldn't allow me to. Do you need more or is there enough info.
Sorry as I am not that good with computers, but I am trying to learn.

A little more info is that my husband recently installed Drive cleaner onto
the system and the problem has been since then. Could this be part of the
problem. He is worse with computers than me (if thats possible).

Strictly for the SR problem.

System Restore fails to restore:

Hi Emma,
What Anti-Virus you have installed, and did you uninstall the Drive cleaner?.
Here is a link to describe how remove the entries for it:
DriveCleane
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2006-062217-0726-99&tabid=3
Your problem is that the Trojans or the infection have full control on your
machine and denied all users any full control, I bit if you tried to bring up
the Task Manager you are not able because you get the alert that this Feature
disabled by the administrator?.
Try to follow up with Hijacklog and send them what you can do and what you
can't, for them to be able to see the whole case and be able to help you
further, but be ready for the worse and rescue your data on a removable
storage to be safe you may end up performing a clean install.
System Restore will be corrupt I guess and the system Volume is corrupt too
<I hope not>.

Try the instruction from Norton in safe Mode and also scan there for both
malwares and Viruses.

Hi Emma,
What Anti-Virus you have installed, and did you uninstall the Drive cleaner?.
Here is a link to describe how remove the entries for it:
DriveCleaner
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2006-062217-0726-99&tabid=3

Hi Emma,
No Problem at all, we are here to help you and other no matter how long it
takes.
Well, if you can't really get rid of it and you have done back Up of your
Photos and documents, nothing better than clean? install for operating system
and start from scratch.
Yes it is good Idea to rescue your Data and Photos then start with CD to
perform a clean install, but you need to delete all partitions and create new
One(s) then Perform complete or Full Format to the new partition(s).
Here is a link to prepare yourself fro clean install:
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html
Make sure you read and write down step 1,2,3,4,and so to make a successful
installation, also make sure you have the right Media CD (i.e your
installation CD), download an Anti-Virus and a firewall from either:
http://www.avast.com
or the AVG link I given to you on a CD to install them after you performed
your OS installation, you don't need to connect to the Internet without
security software or firewall like ZoneAlarm or Comodo.
Then try to establish the internet Connect and get the updates for both your
Operating system and your Anti-Virus software and Firewall and any other
reputable third-party software you will install.

Please if you will go ahead and do this, tell/inform the Aumha forum to
close your thread.
HTH.
Good luck.

Thanks again Nass. I have told Jim what I am going to do. I do think I am
going to get somebody else to do it for me though just to be on safe side.
Just one other question before I leave you alone (promise). I have been
using my banking and buying things on line. Is there any need to be worried
and to keep an eye on my accounts? Just a little paranoid thats all..

Hi Emma,
No Problem at all, we are here to help you and other no matter how long it

HTH.
Good luck.

Hi Nass

This is really starting to get on my nerves now (and probably yours!!) I
really am sorry for all the trouble i am causing you. Do you think that it
would be better for me to take this to some computer expert? Or just totally
restart the computer again (of which i would need your assistance in doing),
as I have nothing apart from Itunes and a few photos that I save onto here
really and I am sure that i could reinstall them.

I will follow any advice you give.

I did all the things that you advised. Unfortunately with no success. I
did the hijackthis and sent the report to the forum. The man replied and
gave me a few instructions to which i followed. The problem was still there.
His reply to that was to do a system restore. Which i have attempted to do
numerous times now and for some reason the system will not let me do that
either. I have tried it going back to numorous dates but it won't allow me
to.

Any advice (sorry)?
