Self-running CD PowerPoint presentation for clients is jerky

Using PowerPoint 2003 and Windows XP, I packaged and copied a self-running
PowerPoint presentation for clients to CD. I used animation effects and wav
files since this is for a preschool teaching product. The CD runs great on my
computer, but on a second office computer, it is jerky and timing is off. It
begins automatically, and the first slide begins well. The transition to the
second slide is too slow, the effects and wav file on the second slide jerk
and move too slowly. The problem continues throughout the presentation,
sometimes improving, but then worsening. I want to distribute these to
schools that are potential customers, so I need a presentatoin that is
smooth, and compatible with as many machines as possible. My computer uses
DLA on CDs.
