Self Contained Powerpoint presentation

Good Afternoon,

I am looking at a way to do the following with a Powerpoint presentation,
with PowerPoint 2007 SP1

1: Create a PowerPoint Presentation and put it on either DVD or CD
2: Make the presentation self cantained so that the person putting the
DVD/CD will not need PowerPoint on there system (viewer requires
installation which is not desirable)
3: When user puts said DVD/CD into DVD drive the presentation will start up
without user intervention (Autostart file)


What I am looking to do is create a powerpoint so that I can burn to a
DVD/CD and just have a person put the DVD into there drive and the
presentation will start on it's own without any user intervention. This can
also be done via USB key as well. What do I need and what software would I
need to get this process done.

Hi Adam

There are people out there who instictively respond to the word 'DVD' by
trying to sell you their software. They'll be here soon in the meantime this
may help you create an exe file.

Hi,

What I did was follow the directions. What I can as some of the web pages
came back with an error. Anyway when I used publish to CD I created the
folder. I then copied the contents to a USB thumb drive. I then inserted
the thumd drive but powerpoint did not start up. Is there something else
that I need to do for this to work.
