selecting slides

How do I select specific slides from one presentation and move them to
another..
The select slide approach in powerpoint 2003 was self evident. I can't
figure out how to do this in 2007

Hi Garry

Do you mean the old insert -> slide from file method? If so, they have
hidden it pretty well Home tab -> new slide drop down -> re-use slide.

I meant being able to select slides from the slide sorter view, copy and
paste them in a new presentation... How do you do that in pp2007?.

I can do that here in 2007 - what is the problem you are having?

I would use the control key to select a slide, it stays selected as I move
down the slides to choose some of them.. I am not able to do that now. Is
there some other way, or is that the way that you do it?

I can hold ctrl & click on as many slides as I want to select them... Are
you able to use the ctrl&click method elsewhere within the programme (e.g.
elements on a slide) and within other programmes (e.g. in windows explorer)?
