Security Zones Default Settings Swap

I wanted to have my restricted zone as my default zone, so I changed the
default security settings to high in the internet zone and medium in the
restricted zone. This worked, but then the icons were backwards and was
confusing to other users.

I did a web and newsgroup search and found other people have asked the same
questions but did not have any answers.

So, I started playing around with the registry settings and did a little
fiddling around. I reset everything back to the default settings, did a
registry backup and went into:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\
Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3

and

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\4

then swapped the:

"DisplayName"
"Description"
"Icon"
"MinLevel"
"RecommendedLevel" settings between the 2 zones.

The turns the previous internet zone into the new restricted "high security"
*default* zone. And the previous restricted zone becomes my new "medium
security" internet zone which I can add websites to.

The new icons and new default settings worked out properly.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please post.

Hmm, never heard of such a trick, but seems like a nice
to change security settings.
