Had to remove this update to get back on the internet.

First time in a long time a MSoft update has screwed up.

At least you got yours to install,LOL, I get an error
message every time I try and download it.
The update log has the following entry:

2003-07-21 14:44:03 13:44:03 Error IUENGINE
See iuhist.xml for details: Download finished (Error
0x80070017: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).)

It should be listed in the add/removes Programs (In Control Panel). If not,
go to to your system directory, eg c:\winnt (here: c:\ = systemdrive). There
look for a named "$NtUninstallKBxyz$. Now search for a folder called
"$NtUninstallKB823980$ (the folder with containing the KB Article of your
Hotfix). Now open it and open the folder "spuninst" and there open
spuninst.exe. Your Hotfix will be removed. To see those hidden files you
need to have Explorer enabled to show hidden files (can be enabled by
'Tools'->Folder Options->View).
