Security Update For MDAC (KB832483)

This update has installed successfully on my computer four times (according
to "view installation history" at the windows update site) and yet still
shows as "new" when updates are checked. I have the same problem on three
machines. The registry key,

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\DataAccess\
Q832483

is not being updated. All machines are 2000/SP4.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Update your MDAC.

The windows update should apply properly after that.

simple note to that effect on the update site.

There's been allot of this MDAC update problem lately.
Your comment makes me wonder why MDAC status doesn't get checked when
windows update is run?

Anyone know?
